The mishevious red crayon strikes again!

laundr laundry2

And so it has happened. Someone left a red crayon in their pants pocket. It was washed, dried, and melted all over my dryer and the clothes that accompanied it for the ride. I was living a laundry nightmare…until I heeded the advice from crayola on how to remove crayon stains. With just a lil WD-40 and dish soap the crayon came out of my clothes.

This was so super easy. The stain wiped away after one application.

I also used the WD-40 to clean the dryer. Not a lot of effort on my part.

Thank you Crayola for the tip!

Helping kids succeed

Yeehaw and good morning!!! Such a beautiful day! I would like to thank Pam P.S.
I Love Soap Co. <https://www.facebook.com/PSILoveSoapCo> for her donation
to the school supply drive. For those of you that may have missed my
post… I am looking to collaborate with other bloggers and vendors in a
back to school supply drive. I know it seems funny to think about going
back to school, when for many of us the Summer just began. But this time
can be very stressful for single parent homes. When you think about it the
cost for uniforms and school supplies add up real quick and when you have
more than one child in school you can find yourself spending anywhere
between $400-$800 on back to school. Many families do not have this money.
I live a few blocks away from Central Elementary in Kissimmee. This is one
of the poorest schools in my town. Many children live in hotels or are
homeless. The poverty rate is a record high along with the crime in the
area. These children are not able to come prepared for learning, they are
trying to survive. I would like to give back and I can not do it alone. I
am asking others to come together with me for this great cause and either
donate school supplies or a monetary gift that can me given in the form of
a gift card for stores like office max/ office
depot/Staples/Walmart/Target….places
that the families can purchase school supplies. Even the smallest gesture
makes difference.

In return for your patronage and support I will offer free advertising on
my blog and Facebook page in the form of features and shot outs…It is my
way of saying thanks for your support and gift to these families in need.

For more details on how to help, please send me a private message.

Thank you!

Helping Kids and Families Succeed with back to school supplies and I need your help!

imageHard to think about school when summer has just begun. As a single mother
of two children I know first hand how hard it is to make ends meet. I have
been very blessed with a wonderful job and support system and have always
been able to provide for my children with more than they truly need. God is
so good! I know this is not the story for all single mothers. I would like
to do a school supply drive for single mothers that are in need of help for
the next school year. I will be taking applications for mother’s in need in
a few short weeks. I would like to start with seeing how many vendors and
fans are willing to stand with me and donate either school supplies or gift
cards for store’s like Target, Walmart, Staples, and Office Depot or Office
Max. Please message me if you are able to donate. You will receive free
advertising this summer from me and acknowledgment on my blog in return for
your patronage. I would like to help as many families as I can in the new
school year. Please share on your personal and business pages to spread the
word. Thank you!
