The tour is kicking off here in Orlando and making it’s way around the USA!
So, today I wanted to share with you a Disney Bounding look I put together for one of my favorite characters from Pixar’s movie INSIDE OUT. There is just so much to love about her. I just want to hug her and turn her blue into a new hue. SADNESS!
So here I am with @JulietTheFirst as “Joy and Sadness” as we took over headquarters. This was truly an emotional day.
Disney Bounding is tons of fun and acquires a lot of attention from cast members, characters, and other guests. Overall it adds to the magic of the day! So to complete this look you will need a blue wig, large-black circle glasses, blue dress with Peter Pan collar, nude colored flats, and blue lace peek a boo socks.
You can find the wig and dress on Amazon. To keep within the Disney Guidlines for dressing up in the park I chose to wear the dress vs the sweater and pants look that Sadness rocks so well. Simply because the wig and glasses really made the look.
Do you Disney Bound? Share your Dressed in Disney looks below!!! I would love some new inspiration. Also, if you would like to see me Disney Bound as a specific character around the parks post your suggestion in the comments.
Celebrate the arts during Epcot’s Festival of the Arts taking place now through February 20th! Enjoy this cultural celebration with succulent dishes, masters of the arts, and family entertainment. This is great fun for kids of all ages! PhotoPass photographers can be found in select areas throughout the park. Enjoy a palette of photo opportunites in which you can literally step into the canvas and become part of the masterpiece. This was my favorite!
Get as creative as you want as long as you are being respectful. If you dare pose inappropriately PhotoPass will kindly refrain from taking your picture. Unfortunately I witnessed a guest pose as if she was picking the nose of the woman in the hat in Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s famous, idyllic luncheon. The PhotoPass Photographer requested the guest to change her pose and when the guest refused PhotoPass put the camera down and the magic of Disney PhotoPass came to an end for that guest. Common courtesy to the artist and the art goes a long way.
As you make your way through the World Showcase you may see artists painting, sketching, or making sidewalk chalk art. An array of art sellers are also on display. It is truly an awe inspiring experience.

Of course you will see lots of walking art, in the form of Minnie ears! My daughter and I expressively showed off our new ears…Snuggly Duffy and Pastel Bambi print ears from two enchanting ear boutiques on ETSY.
The Duffy inspired ears are from Emily’s Enchanting Art and made with the softest bear fur fabric and stuffed with a polyester filling to give them shape and volume. The ears are firm and adorned with a sailor striped bow and a hidden Mickey. Cute ears without the headache…making them great to wear around the parks. If you have thin hair you may want to bobby pin the ears in to avoid slipping and to secure them on faster moving attractions. I absolutley love how cute and patriotic these ears are. Just like Mickey’s special teddy bear Duffy, these ears are sure to be a favorite!
My daughter, Allison is seen wearing Bambi inspired ears from 3rd Star on the Right. Shanna Johnston, ear designer for 3rd Star on the Right uses a unique sewing method when attaching all pieces of the ears together. This leaves a cleaner, more polished look to the Minnie ears. The bambi ears are made with a pastel colored fabric that highlight’s fan favorite’s: Bambi and Thumper and finished off with a centered turquoise bow. You can also find Disney inspired journals in Shanna’s Etsy shop online.
Of course the walking art doesn’t stop there…everyone knows Disney Tee’s are a great way to express yourself….and so we did. Sporting Race Junkie’s Castle “Home” hoodies on a frigid Florida winter day. The material is soft to the touch and does not cling. The fit is similiar to that of a tunic. It is great to Disney Bound in and even better paired with a pair of joggers or a tutu for the perfect run attire.
There is still time to experience the Festival of the Arts at Epcot. This event ends on February 20th. Family fun, culture, and inspiration for everyone!
Give the gift of light and magic this Christmas with Disney inspired lantern’s from Darlene’s Treasure Shop. These adorable table top lanterns provide a soft magical glow that will bring shimmery hope and peace to any room. Hang them on the Christmas tree for an extra festive touch. The traditional gold lantern is adorned on all six sides with the silouhette of a Disney character and selected Disney scenes from Pixar, Marvel, Disney Cruise Line, Star Wars, or Disney Princess. Have another Disney theme in mind? Darlene would be be thrilled to bring light to your inspriation. I absolutley adore the storyline of the Snow White inspired lantern. It is embellished with images from key points of this fan favorite animation.
The lantern’s measure approximately 2.25″ D x 4.5″ H and come equipped with a hang tag and a replaceable battery. Illuminate and brighten the image with the simple slide switch found on the bottom of the plastic lantern. Darlene’s Treasure Shop is still taking orders for Christmas.
Place your order by December 18, 2016 for guaranteed Christmas delivery.
May the light of the season shine bright all year round!
“Just one little spark of inspiration…that’s all it takes! Imagination is how our minds think; to create creations. With just that spark our dreams come true.” (Sherman Brothers)
Dressing up to play at Disney is more than fun, it’s magical! My children and I love to coordinate our outfits based on the park we are visiting for the day and what character or attraction’s we have a FastPass for. One of our favorite attractions at EPCOT just happens to be the classic- Journey into Imagination with Figment. Inspired by this legendary character my daughter and I put together the perfect look for Disney bounding around EPCOT.
But wait! What is Disney bounding? Disney bounding is an alternative form of cosplay in which the individual’s love and appreciation for Disney is reflected through casual fashion. From head to toe we honor the legendary character Figment; whom we all have grown to love.
This fantastical hair bow is designed by Lucky Rabbit Creations an Etsy boutique that specializes in perfect little handmade bows and ears. Inspired by Figment this bow displays orange horns and wings, and an F for his initial on purple and yellow fabric. The fabric is durable and holds it’s form. It can withstand the great forces of speed and winds of the infamous Test Track. This bow was designed with a French style clip that clasps close tightly and allows the wearer to attach it to any hairstyle with ease. We love how it looks with a super high ponytail. It adds a touch of retro to the outfit. At Lucky Rabbit Creations you will find bows and ears that will make your vacations more magical! Desiree can customize any bow using a variety of styles from hand embroidery to hand beading.
The Figment circle skirt is designed by Paula of Sassy Skirts for Gals. Sassy Skirts for Gals can be found on Etsy and is Disney Nerd heaven. You will be intrigued by an arrangement of fluffy circle skirts with a geeky twinge that will make you screech for joy. This skirt is made of a cotton fabric adorned with mini figments all over and finished with a purple grosgrain ribbon-(pre) tied in the perfect bow. Sassy Skirts for Gals makes all circle skirts one size fits most with an adjustable elastic waist. It is recommended to wear a tight fitting blouse that will easily tuck under for a more fashionable statement. Circle skirts are such a sweet way to add a little sass to your outfit!
Every girl knows an outfit is not complete without the perfect pair of shoes! Jennifer from Beach Town Crafter on Etsy made these innovative Figment shoes that are bound to take you on the greatest journey through the Imagination Institute where your brain will be magically inspired. Jennifer hand paints the design onto a comfortable KEDS like shoe using water safe paints. This customized design has Figment fully detailed on the left shoe and the Imagination Institute logo on the right. Hand painted on the side of the right shoe are the words, “one little spark,” acts as a simple reminder of how our wildest dreams come true. The artistry of these shoes is impeccable and the detail superb. Check out Jenny’s other designs in her Etsy shop or message her with a custom design request. She can customize anything!
Twirl your heart through EPCOT in this adorable outfit honoring Figment the adorable purple dragon. My daughter received so many compliments from cast members and park guests and you will too!

With just that spark, in me and you.” (Sherman Brothers)
Add a touch of elegance and flare to your next Run Costume with these beautiful half tutu’s by Shelly Rio Boutique! The half tutu is perfect for the runner who wants to wear a tutu but doesn’t want to feel bulky or restricted while running. Made with a crochet belt and a double layer of tulle; these tutu’s have just the right amount of poof and an extreme amount of pizzazz. You will find yourself making a bold statement.
What I love about these tutu’s is the daring vivaciousness they add to any run costume. Shelly Rio runner/designer can customize the half or full tutu to match your desired character. My daughter is running in the Wine and Dine this November as Merida from Disney’s hit Pixar animation Brave. This beauty will fly, chase the wind, touch the sky and cross the finish line in style!
The Merida half tutu is made on a stretch crochet band and sequined elastic with layers of premium tulle, glimmer tulle, and glitter tulle with a beautiful bow on the tail.
Shelly has a great passion for tutu’s and running. Thus far, she has run six Disney races and is registered to run in the Avengers and Disneyland Half Marathon this year. She aspires to run in all Run Disney events in the states of California and Florida for the year 2018. This is absolutely amazing to me! Shelly has such dedication and spunk and this is what makes her such a lovely person.

On June 21, 2016 Frozen Ever After took over Norway in the World Showcase of Epcot. Guests stood in line for over 6 hours to experience the new attraction. To read more about the Frozen Ever After opening, please see my previous post . I however, got a FastPass for a future Journey (July 18th) to Arendelle to see Anna, Elsa, Olaf and so much more! It has been a month since the initial opening and this attraction is still quite popular; although wait times are not quite as long as opening week. Planning ahead with a FastPass is highly recommended, or you could find yourself waiting in queue for as long as 90 minutes. Not to bad though, rumor has it there is much to see and do as you weave through a small cabin and make your way to the dock to board the boat.
Frozen Ever After follows the same track as it’s predecessor Maelstrom; where riders traveled through scenes of seafarers and maritime villages depicting a mythological version of Norway’s Viking days. Everything but the track has changed and the surrounding spectacles have been replaced with some high tech animations and major cuteness overload! Riders of all ages will enjoy songs and favorite phrases as the characters from the hit animation Frozen come to life before your very eyes.
As the boat winds through Arendelle and riders finally reach Elsa’s freezy fortress, the Ice Queen begins to sing, “Let it Go,” and the walls begin to shimmer and sparkle as Elsa displays the power of her ice magic and sends the boat back through a frosted corridor to the adorable and oh so cute Snowgies.
The animatronics are simply stunning and I think Disney has out done themselves with this new family favorite! Definitely worth the wait!
It was nearly 100 degrees on the second official day of summer here in Florida, but with the opening of the NEW Frozen Ever After ride in Epcot it seems things are about to get a whole lot cooler around here. The highly anticipated Frozen ride packed in guests from all over the world making this the second longest wait time ever recorded at Walt Disney World. Wait times on opening day were as long as 300 minutes only an hour after the park opened and wrapped all the way around the world showcase. Soarin’ beats this with a standby wait time recorded at 305 minutes on New Years Eve a few years back. (Touring Plans) An unnamed cast member informed guests that wait times were actually longer for Frozen Ever After, but showed 300 minutes because that was the highest number they can display on the wait board. Sadly, I was not one of the lucky first time riders…I was actually stuck in an office working. Had I been off I would have been in line waiting at park opening just so I could go down in history as an opening day rider. I do have a Fast Pass to ride in July! Which means that I can play it cool and enjoy less then normal wait times for other attractions. Seriously, with everyone in Norway or somewhere in the world showcase waiting on line for the new attraction, even Test Track has less then a 20 minute wait!
Also new in Norway character meet and greets with Ana and Elsa!

Promise to share my Frozen Ever After experience at the end of July when I enter the wintery world of Frozen for the first time!
My children are attempting to ride Frozen Ever After today with my super awesome sister and her family.
