It all started “once upon a dream,” where Briar Rose first met her true love. He was a man with no name that shared a loving gleam too familiar to her heart. Little did she know that he would be her hero and her happily ever after. After falling under the sleeping curse that was so belligerently cast by the mistress of evil 16 years prior, she would only be awaken by true love’s kiss. So the story goes, and her handsome prince breaks the spell. The kingdom had finally defeated Maleficent’s curse and to celebrate King Stefan and Queen Leah held a special coronation ball. It was time to crown the Princess! Queen Leah had waited for this moment for what seemed like eternity. She kept Aurora’s crown behind a glass encasement. The golden crown was gifted to Aurora at her christening by the Wire Princess so many years ago.
The Wire Princess is from Canada, a faraway kingdom where magic is plentiful. She intricately handcrafts whimsical crowns from silver or gold wire. Aurora’s crown is made of wire, golden like the sun intertwined with glass beads that sparkle and shimmer. Designed with elegance and comfort; the crown sits securely upon the princesses head as light as a feather with just a few hair pins.
As the Monarch crowned Princess Aurora, Prince Phillip took her by the hand and announced their engagement and affirmed his undying affection. They were to live happily ever after and reign in the heart of two kingdoms.
Laurel, The Wire Princess also handcrafts wands, flower crowns, and fairy ears.
